As I've said before, I'm doing a dance camp, and the latest one that I've done is contemporary. Now, I'm a lot better at contemporary than hip hop, but I'm so sore! I have a bajillion bruises on my legs from doing splits and stuff (I know, who gets bruises on their legs from doing the splits, right?) and a whole bunch of burn things on my feet from some moves. I would post some pictures and stuff, but they're mostly gone now... (Thank God!!!) And, that dance camp was INTENSE. I'm talking like bootcamp stuff. Tons of pushups, planks, situps. Not to mention that I'm the least flexible person in my class..... :D

So one of my friends told me about this video called "Sh*t That Asian Moms Say". (Yup, I feel bad for writing that cuss word, but watev.) I watched it and was like... "Oh. My. Gosh. STORY OF MY LIFE!" Asian mom in movie: You so skinny! Eat more, eat more! My mom: What? We so do not act like that! A few hours later.... (In a restaurant) Mom: Stephanie! You're so skinny! Eat more! (All of us burst out laughing) Dad (Who did not watch the movie): I am so confused. Hola mis amigos! :D Stephanie here! Anywho, I'm doing this dance camp at a dance studio and I'm doing.... hip-hop. Yup. An asian. Doing hip-hop. Gasp. But, you know I'm finding it hard. Hip-hop's not really my thing or whatever and I just don't have that... that... swag. You know, how really good hip-hop dancers can look really cool and all. Yup. I'm like the exact opposite of that.
Really good hip hop dancers would be over here........................and..........................................................................................me. Yup. I feel like everyone's better than me. But, I think I'm getting better. There's a lot of shaking and stuff, and I really hope I don't look like... Squidward trying to do the wave or something. :D Maybe I'll post a video when we perform it! Adios! Geez. Finishing this website is taking FOREVER! I just finished with the characters from Wipeout though. :D Yay!
It's so confusing nowadays to know what to buy. Fads come and go, and us non-fashionistas are usually left in the dust. But throughout the storms of the fashion world, three name brands that seem to stand their ground: Aeropostale, Hollister, and American Eagle. Aeropostale (T-shirt + Aeropostale logo = $30): This brand is usually more popular with tweens and younger teens; it's pretty rare to see people over 13 wearing Aeropostale... unless you're like a late fashion person like me. I like to call Aeropostale, the "easy brand". It's hard to go wrong with this one! There's no frills, no ruffles, just your average t-shirts. But, that can also be bad. I mean, all they do is take a t-shirt, add Aeropostale on it, and then make you pay $30 dollars for it. Hollister (Short, short, and shorter): This brand would be the second-easiest brand to be able to match outfits. They don't have a ton of variety, but they have a lot more than Aeropostale. The whole theme of Hollister is California, more specifically Californian beaches, so if you're looking for something light and breezy, this is your store! I really like this brand since you get to experiment with things other than t-shirts and they have a lot of pretty skirts, but there's only one problem: everything's so short! Really, if you bent over while wearing one of those dresses, you would show off your tightie-whities to the whole world! American Eagle:
Alright, out of all three of these, American Eagle has got to be my favorite. They have the largest variety, and their dresses are actually a reasonable length. Their clothes have sort of a vintage-y feel to them (correct me if I'm wrong) and I love all of it! The only part of American Eagle I don't really like that much are their shoes, but then again, they're most popular for being a clothes store. Hi readers! Welcome to That Girl With the Notebook Blog! This is a subsection of the whole TGWN website, where I post as often as I can, rambling on aimlessly about random topics that may or may not be relevant to anything that's happening currently in the world. Anyways, hope y'all enjoy and welcome to my mind! :D
